Hey there!
Today has been crazy. I had a nice and relaxing morning, still in a lot of pain, but it was necessary before work. I started a new job today working at the Port Lympne Mansion. The event today was a wedding, and it was certainly something different to do.
I have been serving champagne, canapés, worked the bar, served dinner, cleaned and moved a room about. Obviously not just me, but a small team of us Worked together. I started my shift at 13.45, and finished at 02.00. It's a crazy long shift and not something I'm used to, but it was good to do something different.
Don't get me wrong, I've still been in a lot of pain today. I kept myself on medication, and let my bosses know. They were very caring and wanted to help as much as possible which was really endearing. As we were so short staffed though I felt obligated to stay, even though I know I shouldn't have.
It was wonderful to experience something different, and hopefully I'll be able to do some other work there soon.
